Description
FOR SALE
£1500 Very open to offers
1993 VW Polo Breadvan Fox
1ltr 4spd
90k~ mileage
Low on insurance (£1100 for me at 17 and down to £300 per year a couple of years later, normal modified policy not classic insurance)
Comes on steel wheels and without the ‘bomb’ gear knob or the star exhaust tip pictured in feature photos.
FULL YEARS MOT
Advisory for chips in windscreen
Buyers responsibility to tax and insure to drive away.
Has been stored in a unit for the last 2 years or so.
Just had a fresh professional respray, entirely outside, in Tornado Red..
Will come on steel wheels with original hub caps - not alloys pictured and without star exhaust tip (backbox was recently replaced).
Modifications:
- Bump strips removed
- Full respray
- Custom flared rear arches, rebuilt professionally with skim of filler to keep the 'bread van' iconic shape - these add 1.5inch~ extra room for wider wheels (look OEM+ unlike the usual bacon arches you see!)
- FK High Tec 85mm front / 70mm rear lowering springs
- Boot build - full floor built into rear (seats removed), has slight bobbling from wear on the felt, could do with a tidy up as it was a budget home build
- Box for sub (not working, haven't checked why, but it's 10" JL Audio) (built into floor) also have
- Box for cleaning products (built into floor to match sub box for symmetry)
- Infinity 6x9s built into floor where it meets the footwell
- Spare wheel intact with pull up section of floor for access
- Upgraded door cards all round, grey
- Custom shortened door pockets to suit 17cm Edge component speakers, tweeters in door card
- Clear side repeaters
- Clear indicators
- Scirocco GTII height adjustable front seats (came out of a low mileage scirocco - these are perfect and bolsters are great)
- OEM glovebox lid added (originally came without)
- Eibach rear camber shims, set to 1.5' negative camber
- CD player headunit
- Stickered rear windows, these could do with freshening up a little
Extras not on the car currently but to be sold with it:
- OMP strut brace
- Polybushed rear axle
- Bonrath camber adjustable / 10-15mm lowering top mounts (rare and highly sought after, now discontinued afaik)
- Decat pipe
- Rear braided brake lines
- Spare rear brake shoes with spring kit
- Spare brand new HT leads
- Both rear side windows
- Bonnet bra
- Bump strips if you wanted to put them back on
- Assorted door fixings
- Roughly half a litre of Tornado Red paint
- Front shocks were replaced roughly 2k miles ago
- Backbox was replaced last week, brand new
- Fuel tank was replaced last week, brand new
- Head gasket was done professionally a few years ago also
- Cam belt replaced last week, brand new
- Underneath is clean and rust free
Bad points
- Boot build could do with a tidy up
- Stickered rear windows could do with a freshen up (or removal if that’s the way you want to go)
- Small dent in passenger wing and a few small parking dings down the length (photographed the worst)
Hopefully I haven’t forgotten anything. Reason for sale is I’ve just outgrown the car and plan to use the money to complete my Aerodeck build.
