Hello and Welcome to my auction.
FIRST THINGS FIRST- her head gasket is leaking. I would replace it myself but I am currently fixing up very ratty T25 pickup truck, modding a TW 125 and about to buy a bigger bike for the summer. SO as much as I really don't want to let her go here we are.
I bought her last year with 81,000 on the clock and since then put a couple more thousand more motorway miles going to work when it has been to miserable to take my bike and some road trips/fesivals. She hasn't been thrashed although she is a joy to drive and I can vouch she is a beast. The dealer I bought her off said they'd picked her up off of someone who had it imported a while ago now and then had her sat up in a garage and once in a blue moon until the dealer got hold of her and then me.
I changed the front and rear pads and front disks recently (rear disks just need to be re-dressed) and changed out a seized caliper and i've changed the oil as per manufacturer directions. Passed both MOT's I've put her through flawlessly minus a 2 pound 50 pence retaining pin that had fallen off at some point when I put it through a couple weeks ago now, brand new battery. Oh and the dealer put her through a car wash the day i got it and didn't put the Ariel down...so it got pulled off at the top. Don't listen to radio much so its still as is.
MOMO steering wheel, TIEN street racing suspension and boost gauge
The interior is literally almost MINT save what looks like a small cigarette ding in the front passenger seat and a dent in the soft leather vinyl rear left door card, just under the window courtesy of a careless girlfriend. I can send pics to those interested.
The two rear quarter tints have bubbled a bit and need re doing, 25 quid maybe?
The exterior has literally a couple of small knocks and scrapes. nothing deep or broken paint, were minor enough for me to not notice when i picked her up and easily fixable, NO bubbling or rust spots. I can send pics to those interested of the minor details.
Wheels have a couple of light scuff otherwise very good condition.
Engine, aside from the aforementioned gasket problem is clean, no leaks, runs smooth, sounds very very mean still, taken it to a couple of more learned friends and mechanics to check for engine knock etc but it all seems absolutely fine, like I said there is no evidence she has been abused, regular oil changes etc (i have gone through the changed out oil and found no metal fragments), full service history and stamps (although it is almost completely in Japanese!).
At the moment she drives fine but obviously losing water very slowly through the faulty gasket, I have just about to park her up for the time being until sale.
I am really quite attached to her and I really don't have the heart to frag or scrap cars in the first place, especially classics when in such good conditions as this, so i'm hoping there is someone out there who can bring her back to her former glory, she would be a great fixer upper investment if you can do the work yourself or cheap enough. So she is priced a lot lower then her main high value parts are worth, not including all the smaller bits and bobs and the final scrap price for the carcass.
Please msg me for more pics and questions/viewing/ etc.
