Description
2004/04 Mazda MX5 Euphonic Limited/Special edition soft-top convertible
This Mazda MX5 is a limited edition Euphonic model. The Euphonic was based on a standard model MX-5 with a choice of two engine sizes. The 1.8 would have cost you £17,000.00 to buy new and the 1.6 was priced slightly lower at £16,500.00.
Only 2000 units were produced from January 2004 and were available in Brilliant Black, Titanium Grey, Velocity Red and Sunlight Silver. This car is Titanium Grey.
All models sported 16" alloy wheels, low profile tyres and locking wheel nuts. The alloy wheels had a unique Mesh Titanium paint finish. These particular wheels were named enkei alloys and are fitted to the car.
The interior was trimmed with black and red leather seats with matching door trim panels.
Further enhancements included leather steering wheel, handbrake grip and gear knob with white dial clocks and carbon effect centre console.
One of the key interior features is the Sony in-car entertainment system which included:
A Sony CDX-MP80 MP3/CD radio head unit
A Sony CDX-T69 6 disc CD-changer located in the boot
Sony remote control featuring Hi-band infra red
2 x 25w loud speakers located in the windblocker
A Sony tweeter and X-plod loudspeaker in each door panel, capable of handling 150w each
This music system is present in the car!
Standard specification for the Euphonic also included:
ABS
Driver and passenger airbags
Seat belt pre-tensioners
Remote central locking
Alarm
Security immobiliser
Electric aerial (This does work - many don't or have been replaced)
Boot release
Power steering
Electric windows
Electric mirrors
Heated mirrors
Heated rear screen
Scuff plates
High level stop lamp
This car also has heated seats! Simply push a button to switch on and off.
There are many places to locate personal possessions throughout the cabin including 2 tea/coffee holders.
There is also a wind deflector which can be simply raised or lowered depending on preference.
The roof folds down manually and is not at all electrically operated. This I have not found to be a problem but thought should make buyers aware.
I have enjoyed owning this car and finding out more about it and it is an impressive car especially for it's age with a huge spec mostly due to it's limited edition status.
These cars particularly this edition are fast becoming classics and if kept long enough can only appreciate in value however I have decided it is time for a change.
The MOT expires 02 July 2017 so nearly a full years test. It passed easily and is famed as being one of the most reliable cars that can be purchased today just google Mazda MX5 reliability!
Hard tops can be purchased for these cars and easily fitted making a more solid car and giving a larger rear windscreen however losing the convertibility. That said the soft top on this car is in very good condition. Included is the tonneau cover in very good condition often lost or misplaced also original to the car.
Any questions or to view please phone or email... genuine offers only as not in a rush to sell.
