Attractive large vintage satinwood card/games table.
A lovely large vintage satinwood games table. We date this table to the second half of the 20th century.
The table sits on four downward tapered square section legs with spade feet.
The main table top has a lift out section which can be turned over to give use of the leatherette surface for cards or such. This section can lift off to give access to a double sided playing board, one side for backgammon and one side for checkers or othello.
The playing board is of a very high quality being made from different woods and veneers.
There is a drawer to each side, one for the counters and one for the cards, dice and other sundries.
A few of the counters have been replaced and there is a couple of items missing from the other drawer, e.G. pens and cards.
The top surface and table edge has an attractive mottled design tile insert on the panels.
The table has a height of 29", a width of 42" and a depth of 22".
The large playing board is 18" by 19".
This lovely vintage satinwood games table remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage, including some minor marks to the top surface and small indentations to the tiling.
This remains a very stylish and elegant small vintage games table. It can be used for its main purpose but would also make a useful hall or side table. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
